PESIOD Publications was established in 2021 as a vehicle to bring biblically faithful resources to a wide audience at affordable prices whilst maximising return to our authors. We utilise the print on demand model enabled by Kindle Direct Publishing and the global sales platform of Amazon to ensure our books are always in print and to allow us (and our authors) to focus on creating books rather than storing and shipping stock.
Our name is an acronym of the Latin phrase Prompte et sincere in opere Dei, meaning "with readiness and whole-heartedness in the work of God". This phrase, most commonly recognised as a motto of Swiss Reformer, John Calvin, expresses a desire to serve God with passion and integrity. This is our goal as a publisher and we want to serve authors who help others towards it. Our logo includes the phrase "Eager and Earnest", which is an alternative translation of prompte et sincere.

Theological convictions
Our authors must be in agreement with our theological convictions, which are:
the World Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith (our foundational understanding of the gospel);
that people who are gifted to teach should use that gift (verbally or in writing) for the health of the church and to glorify the Lord Jesus, not for personal gain or glory;
that marriage between one man and one woman is the only divinely approved context for sexual intercourse and that godliness in the area of sex and sexuality requires us to deny desires and abstain from actions that are incompatible with this principle.
In addition, we will not publish any book that contradicts the following statements:
